Walmart Thank you Cards

So today I'm posting bout the adorable thank you cards I made for only $4.00! I went to the craft section in my local walmart and went straight for the items marked 97 cents each.

Things you'll need:
*pack of 20 mini cards
*stamp set
*ink pad
*Adhesive rhinestones
I purchased all of these items in the same section.
First get your little area ready. My fingertips were covered in teal ink by the end so feel free to put on latex gloves if you dont want to get messy. Take your stamps and press down on the ink pad to evenly coat the stamp and start placing them how you like on your cards. I gently pressed around the back of the stamp and let it sit for a few seconds before peeling it off.
Then you can add your rhinestones! They can be tricky sometimes, the little plastic adhesive will separate so make sure to use those fingernails to fully get under them when peeling.
Have fun creating and saving money on cards with this craft. Experiment with different ideas or make them all the same, its up to you!

A Dollar Tree Adventure

Hello! This is my first post so I started with something fun and simple. My daughter and I went to our local dollar tree. We picked up a brass color vase, teal ribbon, stamps, and a kitchen sponge! Today's craft was a textured vase to give an older style look, and to add some color with our stamps! Let's get started!
Items you will need:
*kitchen sponge(an old one will do!)
*dollar stamp set(found at dollar tree)
*ribbon(feel free to save even more by using old ribbon but i found a spool at the dollar tree!)
*white paint(I purchase folk art from a.c. moore for only 1.18 a bottle!)
*another color of paint(i chose teal/dark green to match our ribbon)

First I wiped down my vase with a paper towel(not wet) to get off excess debri. Now take that kitchen sponge and squirt out some white paint. Dab your vase, do not smear unless you want a different look. By dabbing you get a textured look and some brass may show through for a weathered look. Make sure to cover the whole surface :)
Next let it dry for about 5 minutes. Take your desired stamps and squirt a dab onto it. Take a cheap paint brush or even your finger and smooth the paint out onto all desired places of the stamp. Now with a steady hand press your stamps on your vase! This is also fun for kids, I let my daughter do the stamps so they were not perfect but we loved the result.
After you have finished stamping set aside to dry. Mine was fine is 10 minutes(maybe even less)Now take your ribbon and wrap it around the top, make sure to pull extra to create a bow! You or your little one with help can tie the bow. If you want to make it extra sturdy you can use glue dots if you wish. And voila! A cute vase or pencil holder,or depending on the size of your vase a candle holder. Enjoy!
